Champion Beer of Show

CLASSES
Class 1. Pale Ales <7% abv.
May include, but is not limited to, American, English or Australian Pale Ales, Draught Ale, English and American IPAs, and other speciality Pale Ales such as Belgian Pale.
Class 2. Dark Ales <7% abv.
Stouts, Porters, Brown Ales and Red Ales may be submitted in this category.
Class 3. Lagers <7% abv.
All beers to be entered as Class 3 should be brewed as a lager, using lager yeast
and traditional lagering methods. This category includes the Pale lagers (such as Pilsner or American Light Lager) and dark lagers such as Schwarzbier, Munich Lagers and other darker style lager beers.
Class 4. Strong Beer >7%.
For all higher alcohol styles, please submit to Class 4. Imperial stouts, Double IPAs, Belgian Strong Ales and wee heavies are all examples of the beer accepted in this category. If your homebrew is greater than 7% abv, this will be the correct category.
Class 5. Specialty Beer <7% abv.
If your brew does not fit cleanly into an above category, please submit it here. Wheat beers, Rye beers, fruit beers, Belgian ales and sours are all welcome in Class 5. If you have an experimental beer that does not fit a recognised style, please submit it here.
Class 6. Cider any% abv.
All brews made predominantly with fruit to be entered here. Includes, dry cider, sweet cider, fruit cider, perry, etc.
Winners of each class will recieve a ribbon, a bag of goodies supplied by BeerCo and a case of beer supplied by Holgate Brewhouse
