After a bit of faffing about, we finally have the website up and racing. It's a work in progress, and of course open to suggestions to improve our space on the web.
We also have a new forum to try on for size. At this stage we haven't played with it too much, but it looks like you can turn email notifications on or off as you like, and seems to have fairly notmal forum features. We'll keep a mailing list going as well, so as to send out group communications about special events coming up. Please feel free to sign up and have a play around - it shold be fairly painless, but if you have any issues let us know via the contact page.
In other news a newsletter is being skillfully crafted (whacked together on a dodgy web based dtp) that I'm hoping to produce quarterly. It's not going to be big - a single double sided A4 that will be hosted here, and sent out via the mailing list. The hope is that we can each print off a few copies to leave in the obvious spots - homebrew shops, bars, laundromats, and Turkish rug stores.
As to this blog - we'll update it from time to time with news that public surfers may be interested in, or if any one wants to write an article on our favourite topic, this is where we'll stick it.
The wix site developer is great with lots of features, but we may run into storage issues or require features that are paid - we can talk about that over a beer at our next catch up. In the meantime, enjoy what we've done so far, and do send a word or two letting us know your thoughts.
Cheers,
Rhys + Paul
